Please give me your opinion regarding my apply to Sweden, I received an offer of employment from sweden. so i check the website on how to get working visa. but it says that i need a valid residence but since i cannot have it coz i am not officially residing here... I am not a Swede, but this is my advice: google the contact address of the Philippines embassy in Sweden and ask them by email. Alternatively, you can try the Swedish embassy in Manila.

If you have a valid working visa then you are considered a resident, please check your visa category.
Alternatively, find out if there is a Swedish consulate in Shanghai and arrange a meeting with the consul for info.
And prepare some documents to support you during the interview.

I heard that they issued residence certificate a few years ago, but has been discontinued.
Visa issued here is thru PSB(Public Security Bureau), please
ask a Chinese speaker to look at it.
Arrange an interview with the consulate, that will ease your mind.

Arrange an interview with the consulate, there are a lot of con-men operating around, so beware.
Good luck.
