TAX - can I claim child maintenance on tax Posted by Blatant (27 days ago) I have recently married my g/f & I now have 2 step children. I have lived with them & supported them for years, but have never filled then in my tax declaration os dependents. Can I now fill in the Tax forms as my dependent children, even though I have not gone through a 'legal formal' adoption process? (I am based in Hong Kong)  Posted by evildeeds (26 days ago) If you are supporting them you should be able to declare that on your tax form.
