15 points driving offences

My hubby got already 15 points and received court summons to explainabout the 15 points driving offenses, over speed limit.

I asked him how he can explained? He said he is not a reckless driver but he has to hurry to drive because of his commitments around Hong Kong. Actually, the worrying thing is if he is banned from driving if his reason is not acceptable as he is running 2 workplaces , Kowloon and N.t. .Is it acceptable reason? Any comments?

Absolutely NOT a valid reason. He needs to manage his schedule a bit better rather than expect to be allowed to break the law.

Not an acceptable reason. The rules here are if 15 points are accumulated within a 2 year period there is an automatic 3 months ban. He will just have to accept the punishment and be more careful in future. He has to remember if he accumulates 15 points again the ban will be 12 months. Surely that will be enough to slow him down and take more notice of his surroundings.

Yes, he will plead guilty, no question about it...so even without explaining, it is automatic for 3 months ban????

Usually is unless mitigating circumstances, but I haven't heard of anyone who has been able to get away without a ban. More information at the transport website here: http://www.td.gov.hk/road_safety/driving_offence_points_system/index.htm

Did he take the course that knock 3 points off. Too late now but remember it for next time and drive within the law. I have no sympathy for bad drivers. More people are killed and injured by traffic accidents then in crimes and more money is lost then crimes. Maybe police should concentrate more on traffic and get more idiots off the road.
