dependent visa finishing

Hello i am a student here in one of the so called government universities and i am living in hk for past four years because of my parents.

For 4 year i was living with them on dependent visa and now their contract is over and they are going back but i still have visa until jan 2015.

I am over 18 now and am living with my sister who is on working visa

so the only way to live and continue is get a student visa(and pay double the fees which is i cant afford) or is there any way out of this story

Can you enlighten us what this fee is for? Is it for the visa (too expensive), or for school fees?

You can check with Immigration dept once.. Since you are here from last 4 years and 18+. You might not need to worry till Jan 2015. But please first confirm with immigration dept.


Also, you can contact your embassy to find you some options.
