Probation period - late notice

I have been employed with my current company for about 4 months, with the probation period ending last month.

There was no notice given durintg probation and I was under the impression that I must have passed.

Three weeks later I was informed by HR that my probaion period will be extended for another 3 months.


I such arrangement common in Singapore? Would appreciate to know how the local employment ordinace treats late notice of probation.
