London Gold Trading Scam - Need Help

Hi everyone,

I am a novice investor and recently, a guy has approached me to invest in London Gold, from what he described, I can make small portions on a daily basis and he never mentioned this is a high risk investment.

In a 2 weeks spell, I have lost over $200K, I was told that I am really unlucky and the market went the opposite way. I was really desperate but got no other choice other then accepting this loss. I happened to read an article in a local news magazine and find that some others are falling into this trap as well.

After reading the article, now I am thinking if I can do anything about this? Report to Police? Contact a Council member? Contact a Lawyer?

Many thanks!!!

Gold, oil, stocks have gone down in the last few days. You definitely are going to lose money if you bought at high prices. But if you hold on to your gold "investment" and price go up, then you should be able to recoup your paper losses. But who knows where prices are headed?

It has been almost 6 years ago since this Loco London Gold (LLG) investment fraud happened. I'd like to provide you with updates on how this investment fraud has progressed in recent years. You are aware that these financial companies who sell the LLG investment product are based in Hong Kong.

There have been an increase in fraud cases relating to the Loco London Gold investment scheme in which investors lost their invested money to unscrupulous brokers. Most of these brokers do not have their financial licences to sell investment products.

Nowadays, these brokers use social messaging apps such as WeChat, Momo, iAround and QQ to attract potential clients with promises of high returns. In reality, you will lose your money as a result of excessive trading of clients' accounts and high commission fees charged by these brokers. They do not understand clients' financial needs and are not able to provide investment recommendations.

Beware of unscrupulous brokers and their associated financial companies. These brokers lack the professionalism that your expect from anyone providing a financial service. Below are some sources related to the Loco London Gold investment fraud cases. If anyone has been through a similar trading scam, you should report your case to the Hong Kong Police Force.
