I wanted my mother to visit us in Hk for 2-3 months so that she can be here for her grandchildren's birthdays and spend time with them. She is currently living in the States with a green card but has an Indian passport. Her application was rejected.....has anyone else had this experience and if so is there is any way around it? Is this pretty much the same situation as the China visa situation?
I have my son-in-law who has no passport at all, just holding an Egyptian travel document but was given 3 months multi journey visa, every 14 days must leave hk and then come back Hong kong, was stamped another 14 days visa . I also provided supporting documents and family photos w/my grandson and my daughter.
They applied the visa from Qatar Chinese Embassy, Qatar and was also granted China visa. I followed up their applications in Hong Kong and the immigration officer made comments that I gave detailed supporting documents they needed for my daughter's family to visit Hong Kong so they granted the visa after few days.
