Tricks to get baby to take bottle

We are going to try and give our LO a bottle again this weekend. She is exclusively BF and used to take EBM in a bottle until 3 months old when she suddenly refused.

We have been trying ever since with different bottles but wonder whether a different technique f actually giving the bottle might help. Anyone got any tips/tricks to get baby to take a bottle?

patience, patience, patience...it really takes time for them to learn!

ours is 6 months, he's been on a sippy cup for his water during meals for a week....1st 2 days, he didn't want it, later on he took it sitting up while i held it for him. last 2 days, he started trying to hold it and put it in his mouth.

Offer a bottle for no more than 10 minutes at a time. If baby is refusing and becoming upset, take a break and try later. Babies can be fed in other ways: cup fed or spoon fed. You may want to try a plastic cup with rounded edge or a cup with a spout. Sometimes baby will take a bottle when sleepy and not fully awake. Many babies will instinctively suckle at these times.

Try offering the bottle holding the baby with her back to your chest so that she is facing outward, rather than cradling her. Move with the baby, rock, sway, bounce etc.while offering the bottle.
