We have disputed out tax amount with the Inland Revenue and now have been asked to produce several documents. Does anyone have any experience of this and how long we are going to have to wait for a more sensible tax amount?
The plums added on everything instead of deducting it and THEN telling us our tax!

Had a similar experience, if you provide all the documents they are pretty timely in getting back and making the correction.
What took me the longest was finding everything they required.
Good luck, it isn't fun, but to be fair to the staff they are quite patient and helpful when you go to their office.
