I take it the Chinese have holidays in the first week of november. I planned a trip with my granddaughter of 5 around Hongkong but as I understand, all hotels will be fully booked.
Does anyone know if the Philippines or Vietnam have holidays in the same week?

Curious, did you consider Chime Long on the mainland? I heard rumor they closed the night zoo and opened a theme park with roller coaster etc, hoping to become like Disney world.
