Queen's Road West has loads of lantern shops all one beside the other. Not sure if there are any artisanal ones but that is certainly a good place to start your lantern hunt!

Queen's Road West, around No. 140. There are three shops next to each other all selling lanterns. And when I say you can't miss them, you really can't miss them!

There's a street just off Fa Yuen that has them for about $58 each. Saw them there at the weekend, good luck!

There are some really nice ones in Wan Chai market as well. The more authentic ones are located in the shops that sell incense. The plasticy ones tend to be sold at toy shops.
