I want to shorten my first name and continue with my title. eg, shorten my name from

'abcdefg opqr' to 'abcd opqr'... what are the procedures to be followed? I have an Indian Passport and HKID.

Since you are an Indian citizen, you can only do it in India's Consulate.

in HK you do it by a legal document call - Poll Deed but I am not sure if that works for Indian national
