Can anyone please recommend a good travel agent? I have spoken to two different ones already and keep being told they are putting me on the waiting list for flights but then I never hear back from them. I understand that I may be late in my attempts to book vacations for December but I would love to have a travel agent who is assertive enough to say "there are no flights to phuket, but how about singapore?" Also, we are very flexible on timing and destinations so in my mind this should be a relatively easy task. I really appreciate help with this.

Tell them what you want and they'll sort it out. They're used to arranging non package tour holidays too!
