Employment visa - minimum hours/salary?

I understand that employment visas are issued to expats undertaking full time employment. But, I can't find out how many hours of work per week are necessary for a position to be considered full time work. Or does it depend on a minimum income level?

Thank you beerguy, that was quick!

so, what would be the minimum income level? e.g. would $20,000 be sufficient?

yes, 20,000 will likely get you a visa (i don't think there is a hard and fast threshold) but it also depends very much on the nature of your job...

and if your job is unique that there are no local resource that would be able to do it

years ago, i knew of an accountant who was able to get a visa because he found or invented a niche that couldn't be filled in by local counterparts ... he called his speciality - nuclear accountant.
