I know it's a long shot but does anybody know where I can find spare parts for domestic appliances in HK?
The fridge's defrost timer is gone and it's a pretty easy fix, but I just need to find the part somewhere...

Not like handset spare part, domestic appliances spare parts is not very populare in HK.

I'll call the manufacturer (whoever it is who builds fortress brand fridges...) on monday.
I expect a serious headache though. As you said, DIY appliance repair is certainly no popular hobby here, and trying to tell whoever answers, in english, that I just need to pick up a spare part to install it myself promises to trigger a tsunami of confusion and frowning eyebrows at the other end of that line...
But those parts are pretty generic, and maybe I can find a similar one somewhere else and adapt it to my fridge. I wonder if any electric shop in Mong Kok would have those.
