Everyone be aware of crank calls and very nasty text messages from a Wolfgang Derler of WP Engineering Ltd.
We placed a few ads in the classifieds section and then started getting calls at 2am yesterday and the day before from Wolfgang Dercers mobile ( 91622171 ). We had further crank calls yesterday evening and loads of incredibly nasty texts today. Im going to contact the Police and ask for advice, but in the meantime, everyone be aware of strange calls in the middle of the night, or weird and nasty text messages.

Further to this.... we have been informed by the Hong Kong Cybercrimes Unit that:
Any person who-
(a) sends any message by telegraph, telephone, wireless telegraphy or wireless telephony which is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character; or
(b) sends by any such means any message, which he knows to be false, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to any other person; or
(c) persistently makes telephone calls without reasonable cause and for any such purpose as aforesaid,
Shall be liable to a fine of $1000 and to imprisonment for 2 months.

Ed, I had made earlier comments here on this topic. Not sure if it was deleted but its disappeared. In summary, I have seen similar accusations made on a web forum a while back. A definite defamation case if they person who made these claims is not able to prove them.
Also, interested, did you get recovery of costs, and how much did the action cost?
