I won't touch Lohas Park right now as the smell from the garbage dump site is still strong on some days. The effect on health of this unpleasant smell is not established (maybe there isn't), but it's just too difficult to bear.

Clearwater Bay is fine - Mang kung uk or Ha Yeung villages both good there are many others. Minibus 103M direct to Hang Hau MTR about hk$14k - you can even even walk to hang hau from mang kung uk in 10 mins. make sure you rent within 3 to 4 mins walk of the minibus stop unless you are planning to get a car. if you want a top floor flat with a roof you'll find that easily for 16k to 17k too - middle flat is cheaper because nowhere to sit outside. minibuses get full after 7.30am unless you live near the terminus (ha yeung end near golf and country club!)
