Preparing Baby Food - thawing

Just wanted to check how you thaw and heat chicken thats been frozen as food cubes...

I get mine out of the freezer the night before and thaw in the fridge. I then zap it in the microwave in a microwave safe dish until piping hot and then cool in a bowl of cold water.

Do I need to do this? Can baby eat the chicken cold once thawed in the fridge or do I always need to re-heat?

Thanks!

we have started baby on stuff like chicken casserole. i batch cook and freeze portions. the night before, i will transfer the frozen food to thaw the fridge. and before feeding, i will blitz it in the microwave until piping hot. i didn't use to do that for veggies but somehow i feel it's safer to heat meat up properly before feeding.

to help your food cool faster, use a shallow bowl...spreading the food out over a larger surface will help cool it faster. that's what i do.
