Shipping bicycles to Australia

Hi everyone,

When we moved here in October last year, we bought our road bikes with us in the expectation we might do some riding while we're here. After seeing the traffic, we've decided against it.

So, we now need to ship our bikes back to Australia, but need suggestions on how to do this. DHL/Fedex will charge HKD5-7000 and the bikes are too big to be sent via post. We could take them as excess luggage next time we head to Australia on holiday, but with 2 kids in tow, would really like to avoid this if possible.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

disassemble it, pack in a carton and send by registered EMS,

DHL/FedEx would be too expensive
