Hi
does anyone know where i can buy Thai/Vietnamese fresh and dry ingredients in HK?
I am particulary looking for Thai Basil and dry rice paper sheets for making fresh spring rolls.
Thanks

Across the street from Wanchai station Exit A3--(Johnston road), there's a wet market with stalls selling Thai ingredients (and a resto upstairs which I haven't tried, but heard good reviews). And yes they have Thai basil, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, etc..

Hi Joe,
Kowloon City has many Thai mini-markets (and Thai restaurants), specifically the area bound by Kai Tak Rd and Nam Kok Rd. No MTR, so you will have to travel by taxi or bus, alight just before the Regal Oriental Hotel.

I will venture out and explore both of your suggestions.

Thanks again for the replies
Have been out to Wanchai and found a little wholesaler who also retails, had just what I wanted. Now it's time to cook!

Shing Fat Coconut Company
18 Spring Garden Lane in Wan Chai is fantastic for Thai ingredients and spices in general.
