We mailed our permanent residency application materials in near the end of Sept. In your experience, how long before you got a response on your application?


Six weeks and counting...

Did you at least receive a notification that they received your application? I know someone who had to wait for several months until they invited him for an interview although I got mine within a month.... good luck.

We did receive an acknowledgement. It included a warning not to enquire about the status of our application, as that might impede its progress. Sorta frustrating.

yes, very recent. as a matter of fact, I'm going for the Interview next week. (showing them the originals of photocopied docs sent earlier)

Ta da! It only took six weeks and two days for our interview letter to come. Not bad--I've learned a lesson in patience. Bureaucracy works!
