bad smell

I've just movd in to my apartment and have noticed that one of the kitchen cupboards smells really bad.It sems as thoug cooking smells are coming from the flat below and hey are not pleasant. Does anyone know where I can buy a heavy duty deodoriser to neutralise these smells? Nothing seems to be working so far. It's either that or never open or use the cupboard!

I don't think that it is the plumbing but will check it out, really do think that the smell comes from another flat as it's not there all the time and smell 'foody'. Landlord is completely uninterested so no help at all. Thanks for the suggestions though.

had a bad smell in the kitchen. Called maintenance and the guy came with a water pitcher. He filled it with water and poured it down the floor drain. The dehumidifiers had dried out the pipes. So every once and a while I pour some water down to fill the "U" joints.
