Hi,
Am moving to HK soon with my wife (who will take up a job sometime mid of next yr) and a 4yr old son. I have been offered 75,000 HKD per month. I plan to live in Kowloon and my son will go to one of the international schools there.
Need advice from you expats if the salary offered should suffice us given the high housing rentals and school fees? Can we conveniently indulge in other activities like watching movies, eating out 1-2 times a week, socialising with other families, etc.?
What are the other benefits that one must ask for from the employer, viz. school fees or commuting expense to be covered?
Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated.

With the school fees it would be tough. I'm on 60k a month and live well but not extravagantly, however I'm single with no kids and live in Shatin (NT)

90k puts you well into the top 10% of earners in this city.
