is it true that yakult is good for baby? can i make it with curd at home for my baby.

my mother claims i never had any gastro-related illness when i was young because of yakult and so upon approval of our doctor (when my son was a year old) i started giving him one yakult a day and he has not had diarrhea or any other gastro related illness ever since

I think Yakult has too many sugar added to be good for babies, do you mean that you are thinking about yogurt specially for babies? You can find this is in Citysuper, Wellcome and PnS. Not sure about making your own, though.

yakult is mostly yogurt/fermented milk and water with sugar and those great bacteria...
Do they make a sugar free version?

Then just mixing active yogurt and some water at home is a good solution :)
