I don't think there is a ferry that goes all round the island.

There are many other ferries if you are set on doing some water-based travel between HK island and other islands. Good for day trips. One of our favourites is to take the ferry from Central to Yung Shue Wan on Lamma, do the strenuous walk (~60 mins) over the top of the north part of the island to Sok Kwu Wan, have lunch at one of the seafood restaurants there (Lamma Hilton is our favourite), catch the local ferry over to Aberdeen (although there's also a ferry back to Central), wander around the Praya in Aberdeen, and then catch the bus back to Central. The outlying islands ferries leave from Central near IFC2.
