Am planning a trip to the UK. It's my first time there and do not know which airline is best to take as the flight is abt 13hrs. Pls advise...
The 3 Airlines:
Cathay Pacific - B747
Virgin Airways - A340-600
British Airways - B747
I've taken Airbus before and don't quite like it as the air-condition is centralize, I know Boeing comes with individual air-condition. But how abt service? Which is better...and seating for the A340, is it as comfy as B747? Am taking economy class.
I know there are Air NZ and Qantas flying that way too bt cause of my schedule, I've exclude those 2.

In terms of Service, I always prefer Asian airlines. However, Virgin is not bad except the food.

In my opinion, I'd choose Cathay first, Virgin second then BA.

BA is now out of the question, its fully booked. Cathay and Virgin still has availability on seats for tat period. Guess I'll go for Cathay then...tks!

Virgin! might even meet Dicky on board. oh, wait, he is probably too busy with his banking plans.
Cathy was good, but questionable about the service now, still beats BA though.
One good thing about Cathy, they serve cup noodles and sandwiches during evening snack time, ie when the lights are off and people either are sleeping or watching the movies.

Virgin everytime for me .. better selection of films and I actually like the food. They did a deal with GU the chocolate people ... genius.

One thing I always keep in mind when flying an airline is that maintaining a minimum silver marco polo card with Cathay Pacific allows you to check in in the express line... CX has excellent service but that alone is reason to fly them as much as possible... Nothing worse than being an in-frequent flyer with an airline and dealing with the long check in lines, no biz lounge etc...
