My family and I are planning to return to the UK in 2017. I am a british citizen and my two kids have British passports.

My wife is Hong Kong Chinese so needs a Spouse Visa

We have two choices:

Apply via a UK agency

Or do by ourselves. But our friends remind that if we do by ourselves that even the slightest error will render the application invalid and we lose all fees paid.

Has anyone successfully applied and completed the process by yourself in Hong Kong? How was it and did you find it very smooth? Or did you use an agency and did that work better.
