Hi, I have a 13 year old BMW 325 convertible which is in wonderful shape. However like all old cars, it has little plastic bits which are falling off inside the car. Plus the soft-top is slightly damaged, dome light not working.

Does anyone know of a decent yet cheap place where I can go to have such things replaced? I know if I bring it to BMW, it will cost me an arm and a leg.

Also, I think it will be really expensive to replace the canopy so was wondering if part of it (slightly torn) can be fixed.

Yes the 3 series has this problem with the weather and sun in HK. Have been told the 5 & 7 series is maintains much better. We have a "98" 318 and have already replaced the soft top, about a year ago, but it is now already losing the plastic stripping along the seam of the window in the back and inside door panels have been problems popping out and hard to get back into place. She's been great and still looks good, but, may be time to be more practical and look into a newer Camry instead.

dont know about the details, but I take my BMW to HP Cars (they are in Chai Wan & Sai Kung) and they have been able to fix things and I have seen soft tops in there. Its run by western guys who are always very friendly and helpful and would probably be able to put you on the right track if they dont do the interior work you are looking for. call Hamish on 25580222
