Commuting from Pokfulam to DBIS

My son just secured a place at DBIS. Was wondering if anyone has commuted from Pokfulam to Discovery Bay on a daily basis. Is it doable or do we need to move to Discovery Bay? Many thanks for the advice.

would DEFINITELY move to DB, not only will it make school much easier, but ALL of his friends will be there, too. i've never heard of people commuting to go to DBIS....

I agree with PP. Are you planning on moving to DB? We have opted to live near our school of choice. Well - the one we hope to get a place in one day!

you could move to Tung Chung and commute, but the ferry/train commute would be inconvenient at best

Many kids do it the other way around and communte from DB to school in Pokfulam (West Island School), but they also have many friends that do the same. I wouldn't think there are a great number of kids, if any, commuting from Pokfulam to DB. And as someone else has already mentioned, it is important for kids to have friends who live in the same area. Personally, if you decide to take up the place at DBIS, I'd seriously consider moving to DB, otherwise try to get a place at a school closer to home.
