Along Queen's Road East near Admiralty, there are quite a number of Chinese Furniture shops where you can just ask for their price for repairing.

Yes, do go along with CAB's advice as they are very knowledgeable. I took their advice once and quite satisfied with the result. Some shops may take you for a ride if you are unlucky although it's not a big deal if the repair is minor but when it comes to antique stuff, it would be better to go to a reputable organization.
