skin cancer clinics / mole check in HK?

Being an Aussie, I'm used to having Skin Cancer clinics on every corner to check suspect looking moles. I can't seem to find where to go here - can anyone help? GPs don't really seem to know if they are okay or not (even in Oz) so maybe a dermatologist who doesn't charge and arm and a leg? any leads appreciated.

He has studied in UNSW and should be able to understand Caucasian skin (I take it by Aussie you mean white?)

While I have not consulted him myself, a friend in the medical field has, and says he seems quite professional. Would be nice to hear feedback if you do go to consult him!

The government has a skin clinic that are very good at checking moles. You will need a referral. You may need to wait for the initial appointment but I have found them very good.

Sai Ying Poon Jockey Club Clinic - I was there today for dobs of liquid Nitrogen spray on some skin probs.... I'm sure that there are other Gov't clinics - the tech who "did" me was a "stand-in" from Kwun Tong skin clinic.

And YES - you do need a referral letter; and a paltry few tens of Dollars each visit.

Workingmum - can you please let me know the details and name of the government skin clinic you went to? Who do you get the referral from, is it just any doctor (I have a local GP I usually go to) or do I need to visit the public hospital to get referred? thanks so much.
