Saving money?

With good salaries in HK combined with the knowlege base of the financial wizards here, I suspect that many folks are managing to save some of their incomes.

There are a lot of reasons not to save a fortune in US or HK dollars: the relative strength of the RMB, the 'worldliness' of Hong Kongers (unlike most Americans who do not have passports (85%) and who don't know there's a world outside the borders), and the financial savvy of this place as compared to most cities.

I'm wondering what currency expats here tend to use for their savings?

hong kong is a medium sized city the us is a large country.......poor comparison
