Shenzhen or Foshan

Hi everyone... my husband and I need to buy some furniture and we're thinking Shenzhen or Foshan may be the key. Not sure which place is best/easiest to deal with? Looking for sofa, mattress and other furniture ie tv cabinet and possibly wardrobe. Looking for good quality at cheap prices. Haven't found anything we like at good price in HK including regular stores, Horizon Plaza etc. Up for an adventure but any information on getting there, good stores, bargaining when you don't speak Chinese would be appreciate!

If you haven't been before, I'd try Shenzhen first just to get a feel. Foshan is quite a distance away (about 3 hours away on bus) and it'll be a long way to go to be disappointed. There are a lot of furniture makers in Foshan and a lot of fantastic unique pieces but for these, prices aren't cheap at all! If you are going to Foshan to look for all these pieces it might be a good idea ot spend the night as you'll use half the day travelling there and back to Hong Kong.

There's a website for the big furniture exhibition center in Foshan (I'll try to find the website) to give you an idea of location.
