fyi and i do not work for this organization
if you have any working and in good condition appliances that you want to get rid of like top loading washing machine, big tv (21 inch above), refrigerator, radiator etc. - consider donating it to st. james settlement. they provide appliances for the elderly and families in need.
they have a long waiting list of people applying for appliances so your donation could make this list shorter.
their website says they don't need microwaves but then do ask them as they may on occasion need one (i've donated mine to them)
