Mattress Review - what is your opinion?

Hi all - shopping for a new mattress at the moment which is a real headache as there is such a big range and big range in prices too. Am looking at a brand called Red Apple. Have found international brands here ie Sealy, Simmons etc quite expensive so looking at Asian brands. Anyone know much about this brand? Looking for something thats comfortable, medium softness and good for back. Thanks!

Hästens is hard to beat in my opinion. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

You spend about one third of your life sleeping, or trying to. Saving money in buying a mattress strikes me as about the silliest idea I have heard of. Get a good one, who cares what it costs? A lot less than a car, yet you are in the car about a quarter or less of the time each day.

Agreed with woods99. We bought our Hästens bed for about 80k Honkies. That was 10 years ago and it is still as comfortable as the day we bought it. There's a 30 year warranty on frame and springs too.

take into consideration that its hard(er) to re-sell a mattress in hong kong ... some taboo or something.

so yes get a good mattress if you plan to stay in HK for a long time

It is actually illegal to sell second-hand mattresses in some Australian states.

Not a HK specific thing but why would anyone want to buy a used mattress unless they cannot afford a new one. I just dump my mattresses and some needy soul will take it.

I like Sinomax. We have one where one side is hard and the other soft.
