Mid 19th Century Chinese Canon

On a recent (most enjoyable) walk and swim out to Ham Tin/Tai Long Wan, there is a mid 19th century 7.5 cm Chinese carronade laying at the outer grounds at small shop in Tai Long Wan Tsuen. Any ideas or reasons here of why or how it got there?
