Any has experience with the appartments they advertise on this website, Gold Coast?
Moving to HK with our one year old daughter next year. The website looks good but is it good in real life ;-) Thanks.

Gold Coast is near Tuen Mun.
Tuen Mun is an industrial city, grimy and a bit sad.
Tuen Mun is 'far away' from the city.
Gold Coast, pretty as it looks, is an isolated place.
If your wife and kid stay at home all day in your apartment in Gold Coast, your wife will soon feel alone, isolated and bored. Especially if you work in the city, that is, Kowloon or Hong Kong Island.
You will work hard in your job and no doubt you will soon 'discover' the nightlife of Hong Kong: Lan Kwai Fong, Soho, Wanchai, Tsim Sha Tsui. It's exciting, exotic and mesmerizing. Your colleagues will take you out for drinks, you may have to entertain clients, and you will like it. Meanwhile your wife is sitting at home watching the clock and waiting for you to come home......every night.
This will soon cause friction. At the same time, you will soon get fed up with the commute from the city to Gold Coast, and you will resent the limitations it imposes on you. More friction. Everybody will be unhappy.
