Scanning photos into digital format

Hi! I would like to scan hundreds of photographs into digital format. I could do this myself but it would take hours! Does anyone know a place which specialises in bulk scanning of personal photographs?
Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks!

Hmmm, Yeah it does take months of work - my husband has done it for thousands of color slides & 3R / 4R and larger pix.

He says it isn't ONLY the scanning that takes the time - but "titivating" and cropping the pix too. It makes him very sleepy - from boredom he says - a labor of love - sort of!

Since it has taken him many months to do it - can you imagine just HOW MUCH having it done "professionally" will co$t you?

He still keeps his 10 year old scanner at the ready for the occasional scans !

And no! ---- he doesn't know anywhere that'll do it for you.

Thanks Green Catalonia. I don't need the photos cropped etc, just scanned ... anyway will see if anyone else has recommendations !

buy a cheap scanner and pay some bright student to do it for you
