Bali Christmas season - where to stay?

Any advice on where to stay over Christmas - ideally villa style since taking helper. I've stayed in the conrad in the past but it's full.

I spend a lot of time in Bali and have some idea on hotels - which area are you interested in - what is your budget - do you have young kids or any special requirements?

We have always stayed at the intercontinental they have various room plans from one room and loft style to villa type.
