Best bank/bank account for a Canadian

Hi all - just landed in HK, and would be terrific if someone could provide advice on the best bank to deal with in HK for a Canadian. Particularly thinking about transfers back to Canada but also other services.


By the way, have a mortgage with a Canadian bank so benefits of picking a bank widespread in Canada are maybe reduced.

Why should being Canadian make a difference? Just pick the bank whose products suit you, maybe one with a branch near where you work, or whose colours you like.



Unless you are a pretty sophisticated customer, they are all much alike. Even for Canadians.

I'm not Canadian but Citibank is by far the best bet for a bank account in Hong Kong. As far as I know, making transfers to the US is pretty easy and straightforward with them. Here is some more info: http://hongwrong.com/hong-kong-best-bank-accounts/
