Where to search for apartment

I'm trying to narrow down the geographical search area for a one-bed furnished apartment (preferably not serviced). I suspect that somewhere along the East Line would be best bang for the buck while meeting my needs:

> I work at home but have weekly meetings in Shenzen; no need to live in the center.

> Prefer to spend for space and quality than proximity to the center.

> Should be on the subway, say 10 min max walk.

> Budget HK$15 to 20, will push that for something special (that's a laughable way of expressing it, I know!)

I arrive June 1 for 3 to 6 months, and will visit April 8 to 18 to search for the apartment.

Pointers about where to look would be much appreciated.

I enjoy socializing, so anyone who's kind enough to meet me for a drink or a coffee, also much appreciated: I'm 48, male, Canadian (genuine article), surf-skier, cyclist, electronics hobbyist, did specialist engineering in Dubai for the last 20 years, now starting a manufacturing company in HK.

Okay, I'm here in HK and hunting. Can anyone suggest a building in Fo Tan, Tai Wan, or even Tai Po? Anything along the East Line would be best, but I'll consider good value elsewhere as well.

Palazzo in Fo Tan, Festival City in Tai Wai. If you don't mind walking a bit to the train station, Royal Ascott in Fo Tan.

Wonderful, that's very specific and very helpful! Thanks very much, punter2.

For future searchers: I've looked at The Putman in Central (not optimal location for me and a bit pricey) and Vega Suites near Tseung Kwan O MTR Kowloon.

94 RS: I've spoken with the agent you recommended by PM, this looks like a good lead, thanks very much!

If you haven't been to any of these places, you'll be surprised at the number of agents available in the location itself. It's better to see the real estate agents at the locations because they can immediately arrange room viewing for you.
