So my car has gone in to get checked out and it turns out that some major parts need to be replaced.
I was quoted around the 10K - 12K area for the parts two days ago, but now they've called and it's 28K but the funny thing is that they said that they can lower the price if I pay cash.
Is this the practise here?

I bought a 2nd hand car here a long time ago. Took it to the dealer afterwards and the came up with a quote that was almost as much as I paid for the car!!! Took it to my trusty Chinese mechanic who said it needed a fraction of what the official dealer said.
So whilst it sounds like you're dealing with a small garage, as I do, all I can recommend is my mechanic if you live in the Happy Valley area. Ping me a message if that might work.
