Our shipment just arrived yesterday from Europe and our custom made, gorgeous couch won't fit through any elevator or fire-escape in our new apartment on Robinson Road as its too 'high'.
Please can anyone suggest a carpenter or furniture expert who can take one of the arms off, so we can fit it in and then replace it back beautifully? That would need to be done inside the apartment!
Money is not an issue.
Any advice, please

I don't know if it will be of any help, but there are several shops along Queen's Road East, Wanchai, who make custom made furnishings (sofas, beds, etc). You could try taking a photo of your sofa along to them and explain what needs to be done, one of them might be able to help you out ...
