I am new to Hong Kong, and need to buy a few household appliances. Reviewing the classified ads, it seems that there are literally hundreds of a few particular types of products - specfically, air purifiers and dehumidifiers.
As I was thinking about buying these two products, I was surprised to see how many seem to be placed for sale every week. If these products work, and are actually needed in Hong Kong, why is everyone selling them?
Is this a scam? Are they someone eles's junk that they're selling and buying new ones for themselves? Not everyone can be "moving from Hong Kong", and if they were, wouldn't they be selling a lot more household items?
Any advice is appreciated.
