I am moving to HK in October and am looking to find an Apartment, I have seen Chai Wan and wondered if anyone could tell me what the area is like? I am looking for somewhere easy to get to town and TST (seems about 50 mins) but then where at weekends it is quiet and can get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Chai Wan is more of an industrial area and quite far from everything.
Do you have a monthly budget in mind?

Ed is correct on the description of Chai Wan; did you mean Chai Wan or Wan Chai, there is a huge difference. Would it not be better to get somewhere closer to work, budget seems ok. Travelling to the great outdoors, what there is of it, is quite quick anyway.
