Anyone knows how to buy dried scallops, those round orange thing in the chinese shop? my relative wants me to buy two packets for her, she said the more orange color the better, no idea how much are this? where to get it cheaply? thanks.

The specialist area for this is Des Voeux Road West ("tram road)"in Sheung Wan, particularly between numbers 50-80 (between Queen St and Sutherland St). .... Btw, don't confuse this street with Des Voeux Rd Central, which is on the other side of Sheung Wan MTR.
If you take the tram westward from Western Market (trams marked Kennedy Town or Shek Tong Shui), it is the third stop. You will see numerous such shops from the tram just before the tram stops outside a ParknShop.
Medium quality is HKD350 per pound; top quality 500 (prices clearly marked). They put it in nice boxes. I always buy it there for my mum-in-law, who tells me the really really expensive stuff at 700 per pound is not as good as the HKD500 stuff... not sure if that's true or if she just feels embarrassed to receive something v expensive!

Btw, if you're going by taxi to the places I mentioned above, I believe this is what you need for "70 Des Voeux Rd West, Sheung Wan" - but I don't read Chinese so hopefully someone who does can confirm/deny:

Thanks for the info, i'll check out 70 Des Voeux Road too, that's where the shop is, right? Would you know what's the name of the shop? I know there are lots of shops in that area, and i don't want to canvass or check every shop, i'll just go to where it is recommended, and that i should know how much is the price i'm getting.

Yes, just checked - the one I go to is 70 Des Voeux Rd West. No English sign. They have some outside at HKD340 or so, but the better stuff is inside. They speak enough English. Directions as in my posts above. You can try to bargain a little (my wife is Cantonese and gets a small discount - but maybe just because we always go there).
