Did a trial and was impressed. Will sign up as soon as. I spoke to a lady in the changing rooms who said that she had lost 6kgs in 10 weeks with out changing her diet at all. All in 30 mins sounds like my kinds place!

I recently did curves in Australia and it seemed great. It made a 30 min work out seem so easy. Can someone tell me what it costs around? Thx

Hi I have joined and I love it. You can join either for the year at HK$488 or month to month at HK$588. The joining fee is HK$688 at the moment. Really well located as well.

its seems to be expensive
Posted by jem (1013 days ago)
not really - pure is nearer 1k per month
Posted by girlabouttown (923 days ago)
Not expensive when you consider the support and results you get !! I went to pure for 2 years and didnt lose anything. I have lost heaps at Curves and it really shows...all my friends have noticed and down 2 jeans sizes in 6 weeks. I prepaid for 1 year which gets you another 10% off the monthly of 488 and 10% off the joining fee too.

HD,
I do not usually get involved in non-hair related issues but this caught my eye. I wanted to let you know that I have a dozen or so clients going to Curves who are extremely happy and I know Craig and his wife who own the facility and can vouch personally for their professionalism. As with any program you get out what you put in but I think their system fits the busy lifestyle her in HK. Now they just need a mens location...if you would like Craig's contact information please let me know as he works closely with referrals...cheers

I am still going 3 times a week to Curves in Central and occasionally in Discovery Bay too (you can access any Curves in the world with free guest pass). I keep shrinking!!!! You all have to try Curves - it looks simple but is sooo effective.

Why can't they have a place on Kowloon side??? - In central it would take me an hour to get there and another to get back for a 30 minute workout! Not really time efficient!

What is it about this place that gets women such great results? Aren't the equipments pretty much all similar? Sounds like this place is too good to be true!

Hi Everyone
I am a Curves girl - I love it... it's so easy... so effective & you get to meet lots of people too. I have been a member for about 9 months and am so much slimmer & fitter for going, plus have a great group of friends there... I highly recommend it! I hear too there is going to be more Curves opening in HK... TST soon I think. I love Curves :-)

I convince my husband to cancel my fitness membership and go to curves. After reading all your comments. This time I want results not like in fitness I've been a member for 2 years. Nothing change.
Posted by chiki (774 days ago)
if im not mistaken curves works simply by adopting circuit training - am i right or wrong?
in this case - women get a good buddy system and support group to help with weight loss
but then again i question - why the obsession with weight. i read a comment and one of you did NOT want to be fit, but only wanted a smaller pants size?
anyway Curves sounds fun alright, but if they dont have any classes on top of that, its just uncomfortable paying for 30 mins of a workout thru interval training

I started with curves 6 years ago when I lived in Vancouver. By the end of my first year I had lost the 40lbs I had gained since getting married & having kids! And Curves has kept the weight off! Curves was there for me when we relocated to Australia and I am thrilled that Curves is here in HK. Not only has their 30 minute circuit kept me in shape but it has provided me a fun and supportive social circle wherever I am. Viva Curves!

The Curves in Central (20 Queen's Rd, on the 9th floor of the Pacific House, across from Harvey Nic's) is celebrating their 1 year anniversary of bringing Curves to Hong Kong and are waiving the joining fee for new members on Nov. 30th. Just wanted to let anyone who was thinking about joining know about this special offer!

I joined Curves about three weeks ago and can highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I was a bit sceptical about the 30 minute routines and didn't think it was enough to really get any benefit, but it's amazing how your heart rate goes up and stays up.

just a question what is the difference with movers and shakers? and why would curves work and not other gyms... the rave reviews are not providing much specifics
Thanks for the help
Posted by Shoe Girl (97 days ago)
Minono,
I can't comment about Movers and Shakers because I've never been there. I'm still a member of Curves and would still recommend it.
Basically I think all gyms will work if you are committed and disciplined and attend regularly to do your workouts. I guess one of the advantages for me personally in going to Curves is that the workout is only 30 minutes and so I can go in my one one lunch break and have time for my workout, shower and still have time to eat my lunch. Another advantage for me personally is that the Curves gym is near my office.
Now, I may possibly not be that disciplined if I had to spend a lot of travelling time going to and from the gym.

just realised that this post was started years ago but I'm replying anyway...I'm actually thinking of trying this out but can say in Australia I do have friends who warned me going around a little circle in a little room can get very boring very quickly, and I did look at one curves in Sydney and there was no shower...just wet wipes...gross...so I am hoping that the HK branch is more sophisticated than that! gotta say it the promise of losing a lot of weight that's sucking me in as so many claim to have done so from going there. anyone else got any views on this place?
