Break Lease after 6 months

Relocating to another country, have to break my current lease. I'm trying to reach out to landlord and discuss the 2 months deposit, which is $32k HKD. He's been ignoring me. I am moving out in 3 weeks. Do you guys think he'll suit me if he end up keeping that 32k easy cash in his pocket? Thank you.
