Relationships are like homework assignments, we are assigned people from whom we can learn valuable life lessons. When a person leaves, it means the assignment is over and it's time to move on to the next lesson. Let yourself hurt for a while and then chalk it up to experience. Don't forget there are better men waiting for you.
Why'd you split? Was it a problem or just some nonrelationship thing that swept you apart like work assignments in different places? Maybe he thinks about you three years later too. Id say drop him a line and dont be all "lets get back together" but just say hi. See if he grabs hold of it or not. Cant hurt anything to remind him you still walk the Earth.
Id love to hear from a few of my ex's that I left on good terms with. My wife wouldnt want me to hear from them LOL but thats a different matter.
I guess you always want something/someone that you can't have. There is a reason why you guys broke up at the first place but it doesn't mean that you can't drop him a line to say hi (as per sasquatch recommend).
Maybe I should also call my ex to say a be-lated Happy Chinese New Year haha
Two tough weeks had passed and really don't know where the tough times would be over... He broke off with me abruptly the week before Chinese New Year & formally told me on the eve of Chinese New Year... Am missing him badly but what can I do...
Really appreciate your replies... You probably can understand well since you mentioned you have experienced it... Somehow, I felt I had pressured him to "crack" and hence decided to break up...
If you don't mind, cute_sense, would you like to be a friend since you are based in Singapore?
We broke up because he had to move to another country and we didn't see any future of us. I'm afraid I can't find another guy whom I love that much. :(
Zelda's right. You need to get it out of your systems by absorbing everything until your heart and mind finally gets tired of these thoughts and cries "enough".
