Son's handwriting

I need to know if anyone knows of someone who can help my son (11yrs) with his handwriting. Teachers say he is unable to copy notes off the board and that he is too slow and his writing is too large. I feel his grip is not right and that he holds the pencil too tightly. I would like someone to assess him to find out if there is something else wrong, which may be inter related, which can be rectified. He tends to be a dreamer and is disorganized in terms of work,how to use space on a notepaper etc. However he does do well in school If anyone can offer advice I would highly appreciate it.

You might want to consider seeing an educational psychologist. That is what I did for my son who had similar problems. The one we saw was Michael Wood, (in HK) although I am sure there are others.

Thank you for your reply. Have you seen any progress in your son? Do you think you made the right decision? I have just taken my son to an occupational therapist... what is the difference between an educational therapist and an occupational therapist?
